Sierra de Loja Cuevas
Towering 1670 meters above the city of Loja, Granada are the Sierra de Loja. A huge mountain range which dominates and provides a beautiful backdrop for the city.
The Sierra is best known for paragliding and climbing, we went for a family walk and to see the range of caves, cueavas.
All of the caves are named and regularly used be skilled climbers who ascend their rugged limestone sides, climbing up and over the to scale the hanging caves and cliffs. Climbing into the cave itself was enough for us as it was definitely high enough and just a little bit scary. We found a slightly level area, held onto the boys and quickly ate our picnic lunch, whilst enjoying the stunning views of Loja far below.
I have a funny feeling I have been to this part of Spain. Very impressive images and what stunning views. #MySundayPhoto
